Falling action-Calie finally for sure totally gives up on finding her dad. She also accepts that hes gone and will never come back. She is going to try to live the rest of her to the best she can.

Rising action- Callie for some reason was happy and she was actually motivated to do stuff. I don't know if it was because she realized that she would never find her dad or if she might be able to find him.

Dynamic Character- The dynamic character is Callie. She goes from very hopeful in the beginning of the book to not hopeful at all twords the end of the book.

Round character- The round character is Callie in this book. She is the round character because we know a lot about her. We are finding new things about her every time I read. She is the main character too so that helps finding out new details about her.

Simile "The fire and the pavement cracked like broken glass." This is a simile because it is using like and is comparing two things together. The pavement was like this because Callie's home town just went through an earthquake. When Callie and her friend were walking around they noticed all this cracked pavement.

Antagonist- The antagonist in this story could be Callies dad. It could be him because he left Callie and her family. And he has caused them a lot of stress and time and probably money. Since he has left they have been really sad and rarely ever happy.

Rising action- Callies mom is very happy today because she is confident that they will find Callies dad and they will be happy. She wants Callie to be happy and confident with her

Conflict- The conflict of this book is that this one girl named Callie her dad went missing and she has been looking for him but hasnt found him yet.

Foreshadow- Callie and beckette were talking about Callies dad and backate said you know callie I lost my toy when I was younger and I just kept seraching and searching for it but I could never find it so I just gave up. That might forshadow that Callie never finds her dad
