During the first couple of days living near the concentration camp, Bruno sees the hardness of living as a Jew. For example, their waiter, Pavel, used to be a doctor, but was forced out of work and took to the camp. This reminds me of the movie Schindler’s List. Where the general just randomly shoots into a crowd and kills people. This shows how cruel the camps were during the WWII, and why WWIII should never happen.
