The Left Hand of Darkness is a book I picked up since I read Ursula Le Guin's "The Ones Who Walked Away From Omelas", and I had a really deep connection with it, so I decided to find more books by her. It turned out that she writes more fiction than persuasive. I really like how this book builds tension by skipping from plot point to plot point, and it really adds on to how the story feels of the mystery.

This is a book very similar to TGF, the genius files. It is about a kid that accidentle gets selected to join a secret agency, and having to deal with evil guys in black suits driving in black sedans. Another similar aspect is both books are told in a very kid friendly tone, which is fun for me to read. In conclusion, both books have been fun to read, and I highly recommend them to people who don't mind easy books.

For some reason I think poem books are better than all regular books. All of the poem books that I have read: Crossover and Long Way Down are super good books! In Long Way Down, the author uses really short stanzas to convey really powerful emotion. One page could be less than 100 words. However, the author does an extremely well job on conveying the anger and the hatred of the main character.

The agent in "In Cold Blood" reminds me of another detective: The detective in Catch Me If You Can. Tom Hanks as the detective is always really close to getting a clue but always misses it. Detective Dewey in the book is also always really frustrated with himself because his answer is so close and so far away. I think we all experience this in life where we are only one step away from the answer but we can't get it.

One part I really like in crime books is reading about the thoughts of the criminals. It is really interesting for me to see how the criminal plans, and eventually in the end break down and give up on their partners. By now, this type of thought starts to appear in the book. One criminal starts to worry while the other is very annoyed about the other person worrying, so I'm very curious what is going to happen next.

One of the reasons I like this book a lot is how the author jumps around the characters. Sometimes he tells the story with the murderers point of view and sometimes the detective's, it is a bit like the movie Inception where the director jumps around a lot, so I think that is a major reason why I like this book.

At first, I thought the style of In Cold Blood would be similar to Agatha Christie's style, however the book is very different. Agatha Christie's books usually has lots of forshadowing usually a theme and some psychology involved. In Cold Blood is more of just a retelling a story but in a dramatic way. In a sense of enjoyment, I like Agatha Christie's books, but from a sense of crime stories, I like In Cold Blood

In Cold Blood is a TRUE crime novel, and due to the fact that the story was true, but written in a way that is entertaining, I think this book is probably one of my favorite books that I have read this year. Lots of the books that I have previously read are Sci-Fi, so switching to a crime novel is a bery enjoyable experience. I specifically enjoy how the author jumps aroumd in time, similar to the movie Inception.

"Scythe" is one of those books where the author creates a whole world just for the story to take place, like the Lord of the Rings, or the Magisterium series, aka the Iron Trial series. What is really interesting about this book is the author seems to use an old fashioned tone, in a future world, taking on a whole new perspective. It's a fun book to read in my spare time because the book seems to drag you in.

I've marked this book want to read since Brian G finished reading it, and it's a pretty good book, so I would reccomend it to anyone who is interested in the WWII. What is very interesting about this book is that first, it is based on a real story. The author Heather Morris did meet the main character Lale in person, so since the WWII trip is canceled, this is the closest I'm ever going to get with a WWII survivor.

What is really interesting about "All that I am" is that the story is told in 2 perspectives, and different time periods. One is told by Ruth Becker, and one is told by Ernst Toller, just before WWII was beginning. Another interesting feature of the story is told through the eyes of 2 70-year old people, but is like a flash back, the way they talked is like when they were young.

All that I am, till now, tells a story of how 4 people, the 4 Germans who are protesting against Hitler which is pretty rare to see. I am very intrested in how the story is going to turn out because I am currently watching a World War II documentary, and I am pretty sure that even if the protest take an effect, the rest of the Germans still wouldn't join, because they think that all the movement is right.

The inhabitants of the planet Krikkit does not like anyone outside of their atmosphere. Yes, even you, so they plan to destroy the universe. Unfortunately Arthur Dent is still alive, and tries to stop the inhabitants of the planet Krikkit to destroy the universe. Although this story is a bit difficult to understand, it's still hilarious and I recommend it to everyone who likes humorous stories.

Arthur Dent was insulted 3 times in 1 day, and here is the insult, (I thought this was a good insult): "You're a jerk Dent, a complete kneebiter." This was said by Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged, he said this insult because he set out to insult everyone in the universe, by alphabetical order. This line completely cracked me up because it caught me off guard, and the expression on Arthur's face was hilarious.

Main characters Arthur Dent and Ford Prefect, (his chose Ford because he thought cars was the dominant species on Earth) witnesses the End of the Universe, the Gnab Gib (read it backwards), and got the answer to Life, Universe, and Everything, 42. Whilst trying to figure out what the question actually means, (ironic isn't it) they also to figure out who controls the universe. It is truly a chaotic universe.

In the book, one joke made me laugh. "Arthur Dent's house was about to be run over by a bulldozer one morning. The worker says he ought to complain to the town hall, it was only a couple of kilometers away. Then, aliens came to destroy Earth, they said humans should have complained to the Galactic Council, it was only 8 light years away." This funny tone continues on throughout the book and makes it very enjoyable.

In this trilogy of 5 books, yes, 5 books, don't panic, Earth was destroyed. This one of the first modern Sci-Fi books that sets an example for many other Sci-Fi books. For some reason, Sci-Fi authors just like to destroy Earth. Although talking about the serious topic of Earth's destruction, the author handles it like bulldozing a house, and this humorous tone makes the whole story more casual, and more entertaining.

While reading Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, I have discovered that the author, Douglas Adams has a way with words, just like J.R.R. Tolkien. They both play with words, although slightly differently. J.R.R Tolkien writes in a very classic tone, and he really likes to add dialogue from character. On the contrary, Douglas Adams although does add dialogue, he likes to "juggle" around with his words and make it funny.

What is the answer to life, universe, and everything? Well, the Hitchhiker's guide to the Galaxy will give you the answer. While reading this book, I found that life cannot be boring. In the book, Arthur Dent, a normal boring worker that has later finds himself on a spaceship. That's a story to tell around a campfire. This theme has reoccurred several times in this book, and that's why I chose to mention this idea.

Although spotting others lies is an important skill, but above all, don't lie to yourself.

Treasure Island is one of those classic books that can set stereotypes. In this case, Treasure Island makes Pirates Of the Caribbean a similar version of this book, as setting the example of "X marks the treasure." This book emphasizes the idea of greed and daring, shown by the antagonist Long John Silver, who betrays the main character Jim to get the treasure back. He portrays the ideal antagonist to show this idea.

Schindler's List is telling readers that sometimes in life, small actions of altruism can save lives. For example, Oskar Schindler's assistant Itzhak Stern recommends that Jews are the cheapest workers. Although Schindler knows that Jews are not good labor workers, he still hires them, and eventually saves them from the terrible camp of Auschwitz. On the surface, Oskar is just hiring, but he is actually saving lives.

During the first couple of days living near the concentration camp, Bruno sees the hardness of living as a Jew. For example, their waiter, Pavel, used to be a doctor, but was forced out of work and took to the camp. This reminds me of the movie Schindler’s List. Where the general just randomly shoots into a crowd and kills people. This shows how cruel the camps were during the WWII, and why WWIII should never happen.
