Treasure Island is one of those classic books that can set stereotypes. In this case, Treasure Island makes Pirates Of the Caribbean a similar version of this book, as setting the example of "X marks the treasure." This book emphasizes the idea of greed and daring, shown by the antagonist Long John Silver, who betrays the main character Jim to get the treasure back. He portrays the ideal antagonist to show this idea.
