Liking this book so far, but I'm bothered by the timeline. As the 3rd book in the series, I was hoping we would be moving forward with what happens after Books 1 and 2. However, it has only really take place in the past. Even the present is the past in this book. This is the second consecutive series I've read (within the past few weeks) that has done this and it irks me.

Characters and writing are fabulous though!
