The Big It is about short stories that A.B Guthrie either made up or his friends have told him that he made into a book. One story is about the owner whacking their dog with a bat blinding him which forces them to kill him. Another story is about a guy that escapes a camp and the Indians find him and chase him down but he hides in the water under a beaver lodge and when the Indians go away he walks back to his town.
