I did a quick google search and omg there are so many openly gay baseball players? Good for them(tm) also how did the author not know? And also they're handling it better now.

LOOVVVVEEEEE IT when homophobia and not being accepting of teenagers coming out is a plotpoint. It could have been worse but still omggggggg it's like watching an episode of a 1990s after school soap dedicated to "the gay kid" at school and about how to it's ok to come out even tho 90% of ppl will hate you 🙄 also the nerdy girl is secretly smoking hot under her nerdy clothes-trope, also very 90s -_-
