About 1/4 through the book. More ideologically diverse than I thought but the editing isn’t executed very well and some of the contributors have pretty poor writing. Not impressed with the “rigor” of the content itself yet

About 30 pages in and I’m already skeptical. First, I recognize 1 of the names of the contributing authors and none of them are leading scholars in democratic breakdown. Second, this is another “Trump bad” book rather than a serious academic (or at least unique and insightful) history/evaluation of democratic breakdown in the US. Hopes aren’t very high but maybe other contributing authors will convince me
