Another whiplash-inducing scene. Anger, grief, lust, denial, petulance, mischievousness... Caylee covers them all in a scene with no transitions between. Like a bad actress showing her full range in one scene. To read, she makes NO SENSE and feels impossible to connect with.

I'm torn. Part of me wants to rage-quit this horrible mess of a book, while the other part is dying to see how bad the train wreck gets.

I am on the fence on this one. I'm seriously tempted to chuck it altogether, not waste any more time on this ridiculousness. And then on the other hand I kinda want to watch the train wreck happen. Also, I refuse to let a book beat me. So, we'll see what wins out.

WTF just happened?? The entire last scene in the alley post vampire fight made no sense, just whiplash-inducing! She's melting into him, telling him he sucks, kissing him, pushing him away, worrying for him - back to back to back! Each page is a new emotion from her!! None of her reactions seem genuine or consistent with what she just went through. Freakin' idiot character!

This is a giant cluster of a plot. We bounce between characters' thoughts, there are tons of details that would be nice to be able to understand... there's such a thing as too much in media res. Are we sure this isn't a spin-off series, with the world-building already done in another book??

I don't know if i'm going to make it through this one. While I love urban fantasy and SPN romances, this heroine is by far TSTL. Two chapters in, and she hasn't done a sensible thing yet.
