Does anyone else feel like there was a peak period during which there were amazing books one after another. Favourites that still are from like 2014-2017? And now demand isn’t meeting supply because I can genuinely say I haven’t really been enjoying or finding the romance material I’m reading memorable.

Totally agree. The well is dry for new romance ideas.

I genuinely wrote this as a status like five months ago! I feel like I so badly want that time back (2015/2016/2017 for me) where I had five star after five star. I’m really struggling and I feel a little lost. (That sounds dramatic but I don’t think I’m going to get that feeling or excitement again) :/
Omg! Me too! I completely understand what you mean about that excitement; even when I give books 4 stars now it’s as though my hearts not in it.
