One of the many brilliances of this book is how McCulloch truly addresses all audiences: for the internet-skeptic, long paragraphs gently explaining the ways internet language evolved as purely as any other variety; for the more savvy, references and memes and subtle self-demonstrating language games sprinkled into the explanatory tone. It's enjoyable (and informative!) on so many levels.
