Parts of this book are admirable and seem balanced. Blows away the 'new age hippy' view that all Native Americans were one cohesive culture and peaceful. Yet, it gives perspective on the violence that the Comanches and some others used. However, some of the language grates with modern terms and it occasionally veers into US patrotisim-speak.
