I'm really enjoying the format so far, how Atwood intermixes the story with actual news clippings and quotes about Grace. There are also letters sent back and forth. I tend to enjoy a book that regularly shifts the storytelling device (as long as the narrative remains the focus).

So little has happened so far, it's strange. It has barely scratched the surface of the MURDER TRIAL the book is based on. I'm genuinely confused as to how Atwood took a premise with a female teenage murderer, a physiologist interviewing her, and prison in the 1840's and it's so oddly boring. So far. There's still a lot of book left. Crossing my fingers! I have faith. I think.
