Picked this up to escape the WWII historical fiction zone I’ve been in for far too long. Love the classic Jane Eyre, but truly didn’t know what to expect. I’m really enjoying it. Young Edward Rochester is a very compelling character who captures the readers heart. We shall see where this leads now. Fingers crossed!

Really enjoying this book. I’m glued. For a HF junkie it’s a nice change too since most HF books these days are WII so I felt burned out on that particular genre of HF. The writer has really gotten the voice of Edward Rochester and it’s fascinating to have a back story, to know who he is and the story from his perspective (since we already know Jane Eyre’s POV). Great book!!!

I really like this book!! Mainly because I love how much the writer has let the reader into the world of Edward Rochester and he’s an endearing character for sure. It’s very character driven. The writer does an excellent job of showing the arc of how he became who is was in Jane Eyre. She’s a good writer too. Really enjoying this one!!

Enjoying this one. Just a good old fashioned story, written well. Edward Rochester’s character is a complex, vulnerable, engaging character that you can’t help but root for. I have no idea where this is going...or I do, eventually (lol)....but for the rest of Mr. Rochester itself I am just enjoying the ride. I must be honest, it’s a lovely and well needed break from WWII dramas.
