I have been thinking about cultural assumptions and beliefs surrounding love and relationships for about two years. So, I am incredibly excited to finally have this book in my hands. My hope is that it will break down my assumptions and help me learn new, better ways we can do relationships.

I wish this was a book I read in high school, specifically I wish I had read the chapters on jealousy and conflict earlier. They provide exercises and new frames of reference through which to observe, experience, and handle the variety emotions that arise in relationships. If it was normal to make required reading lists before entering into a relationship this would be the first one on mine.
