The fate of both Wes Moores turned out about what you would expect. The question that I think is important is if Wes Moore (the one in prison) deserves to be in prison, or at least a shorter sentence. If he did rob the prison, then he probably should have a shorter sentence. But I think he didn't, so I do not think he should be in prison

I do not think that Wes is guilty. I think that Tony is, but not Wes. I think this because Wes was just starting to try to get his life together. He would not want to ruin it for him and his family at that point. He also shows different attitudes compared to the other people who are being accused, actually trying to take his case to court.

Fate is something that has treated the Wes Moores much differently. As soon as the author Wes Moore was making all the wrong decision, he gets sent to military school, which changes his life, for the better. While as the criminal Wes Moore is actually trying to get his life on track, he gets accused of murder something and sent to prison.

My belief in the last goodreads update has been confirmed. Wes Moore (the murderer) has been arrested yet again, showing things going downhill for him once again. And now, Wes Moore (the author) has become a platoon sergeant for his bunk. So the situations of both Wes Moore is changing and molding drastically.

I think that now that Wes is done running away from the military school, that he will now get his act together for real. And that this is where he becomes the Wes Moore that he is today. That same applies to the author Wes Moore, as he has just killed another man, and this is where he becomes the Wes Moore that we know today.

The weird in the story is that right now, it seems as if the drug dealer Wes Moore is working harder than the author. Hes actually getting stuff done, and while I don't agree with how he does it, he has made a lot more than Wes the author has. But in the end, we know that Wes Moore the author comes out of life a lot more successful. So it is somewhat ironic what is happening.

When Wes Moore (the author) moves to the Bronx, that is when the differences in their lives really start showing. Both are still growing up in poor areas, but the situation is Baltimore is arguably a lot worse. Wes Moore (Baltimore Area One) is not going to a fancy private school, and is in a poor area, so there is a lot bigger chance that he might turn to crime and drugs at some point.

Throughout the story, the fate of both of the Wes Moores if mostly determined by the outcome of their fathers. Wes Moore, the author, has his father around as a responsible role model and not a brother who deals drugs, while the other Wes Moore has not commited any crimes as of in the book. This shows how important of a role that fathers have on their sons.

Besides just having the same names, the story shows the similarities throughout their lives. They both start their stories with something very difficult happening to their families. With Wes (the author), that is losing his father, and with Wes, the one in prison, that is his mother having to stop going to college.
