I'm at the start of the second trilogy and it did plod on something awful until it began to pick up recently; I'm starting to enjoy the book and expect the pace will keep at the current rate because they're too deep in it at the moment to relax.

Big improvement in the book, exciting with a new and very creepy peculiar child just turning up; I expect the next 73 pages will go very quickly indeed
