Oh boy. The writing is so overwrought & so trite it’s distracting & I find I’m cringing regularly. The writer uses 1920’s socialite slang to death, so that the characters sound highly unnatural. I think (??) I remember this same issue from her first book-but that eventually the writing improved as it went on. Fingers crossed. 😳

Oh boy. Such overwrought prose! Writer is working waaaay to hard to impress, the writing is so forced its distracting. Sure hope the story overshadows the writing. Great reviews so I’m hopeful.
