this one’s a DNF. other people have commented on not finishing it for style reasons, but i enjoy the weaving together of threads and the reflective style; i’m dropping it because of one too many moments where the political analysis brought me up short. the last straw was a passage about the relative controversy of interclass vs interracial marriage. nah. i’m good. i’d maybe have pushed on if it were shorter.
