I think this book is doing the thing where friends are being super weirdly invested in the relationship and way out of bounds and don’t know any boundaries and overly familiar and just... way too codependent and too much in the heroines business... which I really dislike as a trope in general, but it’s also depicted as this great friendship?

I really like the hero and heroine, but these friends are just ugh.
