This is kind of a test. I've never used this feature before. Please, friends and following, if you see this note, let me know if you use this feature. Oh, I should clarify, it's called 'add a general update' and it looks like it's part of the Currently Reading box but I guess it isn't quite. If you've been using it all along, I've not seen your updates. I'm so confused....

Hmm. I had to go looking for it, and it did NOT show up on your feed. Maybe you have some setting unchecked . . .

I edited my profile: checked some more boxes under 'feeds.' I had some unchecked because I didn't want to annoy my friends and followers. Anyway, I only saw 'status on book I'm reading' not 'general status' or 'general update.' Oh well. If anyone really wants me to know something they're up to, they can pm me.Thanks again!
IIRC, general statuses are subsumed under the heading of 'status on book I'm reading', as the system essentially deals with them the same way.
good to know - but when you consider how extensively I use this site and how confused I am about this feature, it's clear that this feature is not well-presented... oh wellthank you
