Can animals be infested? Yes, but this is extremely rare. The possession of animals is also a form of demonic infestation. If it were to occur, sacrificing the animal would cause the demon to leave and nothing more would happen.

Demonic infestation is the phenomenon in which a demon possesses a place, such as a house or a building, or an object.

In an exorcism, the priest prays that the possessed person be freed from the devil. In a deliverance prayer, we ask God to set a person free from some degree of demonic influence, including what some have referred to as "clinging spirits".

Can the soul of a condemned person possess someone? Yes, in mi opinion, the souls of the condemned can possess someone in exactly the same way as a demon.

To resist temptation, one needs virtue, and we cannot expect a demon to be virtuous. He always seeks the benefits in the here and now, he is a slave of his own passions and impulses.

The chief causes of possession are the following: 1. Making a pact with the devil (or demons). 2. Taking part in spiritualist sessions, satanic cults, or esoteric rites. 3. Offering one's child to Satan. 4. Being the victim of witchcraft (i.e., a spell).

In nomime Iesu, exorcizo te. In nomine Iesu, dic nomen tuum. In nomine Iesu, si es hic, manifesta te. (In the name of Jesus, I exorcize you. In the name of Jesus, say your name. In the name of Jesus, if you are present, show yourself.)

It is as if the demon, while possessing the body, feels whatever the bodily senses feel at a given moment. Whatever upsets the body also upsets the demon.
