Attempting a new reread – hopefully of more than just the two first books this time around. So lovely to dive back into this familiar, comfortable story ♥️

I don’t think I’ll be finishing the book before the readathon ends but I’m still really enjoying myself. 12-year-old me would probably have finished both of the books I had planned to pick up but 24-year-old me just doesn’t have that kind of concentration while reading anymore. Maybe I can train that? What better time to find out than now?

I love diving back into this world again. It’s like returning to a beloved travel destination where you vaguely remember where the corner shop is but for the life of you don’t remember how to get there.

I’ve been meaning to reread these books for ages. It’s been so long. I won’t be re-rating them, though. These were the books that introduced me to high fantasy and they meant so much to young teenage me. Reading them again is simultaneously bizarre because I’ve grown so much as a reader, and nostalgic. It will most definitely be a very different reading experience than twelve (?) years ago.
