This is very, very interesting. I'm loving these characters. I'm frustrated with myself because I should be enjoying this more than I am, and it's not the author's fault. The COVID-19 crisis is negatively affecting my focus. Life feels so strange right now, and I don't get the same joy from reading that I normally do. Anyone else?

It took several chapters for me to get into it, but now I'm completely invested in these WWII characters and eager to see what's going to happen with them!

I know what you mean Debbie. No matter what you're doing there's this shadow hovering all the time. I'm reading away as usual and it's all that's keeping me going to be honest. I'm looking forward to this book.

As I'm reading this Debbie we've had a government statement on tv telling us we're in lock down for two weeks starting at midnight tonight. Only to go out for food or medicines and no unnecessary travel over 2km from your home. It's a scary time!
Yep. I feel like my generation hasn't had to face a challenge this daunting in decades - maybe never. Time to find out what we're made of, I guess. (Disappointing that the first response has been to hoard sanitary wipes and toilet paper - at least in the US!)
