Thought this book started off really strong and that it was going to be really exciting but am getting a bit bored. Thought that I would enjoy this more than the first one but I'm not as interested at this point. I didn't mind the "chapter for each storyline" format when I was excited to find out what happens in each one but now it feels like a bit of a slog getting through what I don't care about to get to what I do

Rachel and Nick are boring and their dialogue makes me cringe. Also the dialogue of any of the fully English characters is completely ridiculous.

Maybe the first book had a novelty that has worn off this far into the second book or maybe I just prefer the characters and plot. I miss Eleanor and her friends, I thought they were entertaining and loved to see them scheme. This book is also a bit darker and more serious than the first one, I enjoyed how fun it was. The only storyline I'm invested in is Astrid's ( And maybe Kitty's a bit but she's not in it much).
