So far, just recently passed the 1/4 threshold of this book and am noticing some serious theoretical flaws in Kuru’s argument. As someone who has studied extensively the topic of Islamic “exceptionalism” in reference to its authoritarian over representation, I’m also finding Kuru’s dismissals of other theories far too... empty.
