What's with these Hs that are fucking whiplash bipolar, controlling, inappropriate and completely unappealing? They throw jealous fits that wouldn't be ok even if they're in a relationship w the h {wait, what the fuck, H = Hero & h = heroine? Nice.} FP {Female Protagonist} but are utterly NOT OK when they're barely acquaintances, ffs. Gods.

Lovely & awful all in one book. No idea what to rate this at right now. I'll have to ponder it some more. Liked it enough once it turned sweet to read the next book, so... Enh, dunno. Bah humbug, this is why I don't normally keep up to date with GR-ing {hee} what I read. I'd rather just keep on reading the next book ad infintum. Plus, I'd be doing what... 7-10 reviews a week? That's good reading time wasted! ;D

"He smiled and embraced her softly. “I want to explore your senses—sound, taste, sight, touch. I want to take my time arousing and exciting you.” He lowered his voice. “But most of all, I want to teach your body to recognize the man who worships you, just by my touch.” " ~•~ This however is very hot & sexy. Damn book is giving me whiplash, I swear.

"... Gabriel knew that it would take a long time to dispel those lies and to heal those wounds. He was resolved to build her confidence incrementally, to help her see herself as he saw her—sexy, attractive, and passionate. The only way he could do this would be to take his time and be patient and affirming. He was looking forward to demonstrating his love for her..." ~•~ Lovely. {Very abbreviated quote.}

Ok. I feel like I've read two books in this one. It's changed completely from something awful into a sweet romance. I do find Alpha MPs sexy, but not when they're complete assholes. Borderline or outright abusive men are not hot, they're abusers. Unhealthy fuckers that suck in people, use them, abuse them & either discard them or make their relationships so unbearable they force away those that care. Not hot or sexy.

"All would have been well if he hadn’t opened up his mouth at that moment and vomited all over her. And all over his beautiful and expensive British-racing-green cashmere sweater, which was no longer green by the time he was finished with it." ~•~ Just what I'm all for reading in a romance novel. How erotic.

Another thing. So Gabriel's supposedly a tenured professor at U of T. Who has the magical power of tossing a graduate student out of her program & spot because she said she was sorry on the back of a note where someone else wrote that the asshole prof is an ass? Right. Bullshit. Unprofessional, misleading bullshit... that just makes me hate this 'hero' all the more. Oi.
