This is not at all the book I thought it would be. Thought it would be way more metaphor, kind of existential, about the lives of New Yorkers and how their paths cross, and so on. But no, it's straight up action packed sci fi, which has been jarring, but also thrilling and fun. Having trouble staying focused through the lengthy chapters, but I think that's more my broken brain right now than the writing.
