Amazing depth of world building! Female characters still weak, but interestingly enough, the Opera at the end gives a more interesting complex role to Sophie and Melina

I read the introduction and loved learning about Karl Blossfeldt's photographs as the inspiration for a lot of the architecture.
Just finished les murailles de Samaris. I love the shifting sand(s of time) concept and the flower metaphor. The bureaucratic meaninglessness reminds me of La tour (the only one of the series I've read). The end was a little "Wtf?" Definitely one to digest and re-read.
