I maybe shouldn't have attempted to read this book during a pandemic. Though I fortunately have a job and a place to live, so many people are losing their jobs and are at risk of eviction. This situation makes it tough to relate to the problems of a rich white woman who has to sell some of her blue chip stocks to buy and remodel an Italian villa. Poor rich white woman. My heart bleeds for you, dear.
