The author has next to zero respect for Alternative Medicine. He gives a detailed and biased historical background regarding medicine and medical training, and gives no mention of the rise of the A.M.A. That said, he picks up a good pace when he gets to The Warriors, appearing to be a better biographer than medical historian, at least in the beginning of the book.
