The author is very emotive and I am all for it but I see the argument of NAFTA timing along with NA corporations using PR as a test ground for global expansion as a reach.

The author argued that the then governor Ricardo Rosello burned bridges by trying to audit the PROMESA debt but also argued that he was conspirator in the debt scandal and was friendly to the people he wanted to have audited. I would not be surprised this was too but the contradiction is odd.

As a NF piece, this book has a basic flaw. It refers to politicians as "current this". That's about to change and will complicate parsing through this in a short amount of time.
Another thing is the nationalist bias...from a man that has lived all his life outside the island.

First chapter was a summary of the US colonization of the island. Nothing groundbreaking but the author has my undivided attention.

How ironic. I bought a book about the exploitation of our island in a Sams store.
So far it reads like a disgruntled manifesto. Also ironic that the author never lived in PR for a long period of time. My shirt is wrinkled free by all this ironing.
