Excellent writing, great descriptions, odd POV, I don't think I've read fiction written in second narrative before... I'll need more time to wrap my head around my thoughts of second-person.

When your past surfaces as doubt, my heart aches or you. I run the back of my fingers down your cheek, across the stubble along your jaw. “It’s real, Merrick. Believe in us.” I like that.... when your past surfaces a doubt... great description.
