Eek. I'm mourning a fictional place. I wonder if anyone else ever feels this when they read?

I don't care for the heroine as much in this book as I did in My Beloved. I know this book moves as slow as the first, but in some way the first one was more captivating in it's slowness. I sometimes just want to hit Anne and ask why she didn't just tell Stephen about things.

I like this story, but it hasn't captured me quite the way My Beloved did. Still, I enjoy reading about the descendant of Sebastian and Juliana.

Finally starting the second book of this series. I hope I find it as good as My Beloved!
