I must admit, I am getting a bit tired of 'cosy' mysteries.
It seems you can't have one without a spineless heroine with a bunch of bitchy people in her life. It's hard to enjoy the story when you dislike the characters. I thought I would enjoy the later books once Dewey finally got the gumption to get rid of toxic Kym, but no, it's just replaced with other horrible people.
