With a tradition I started in high school, I usually read at least one thick classic in the summer, and this is my choice for 2013. So far, I'm enjoying the characters of Bathsheba Everdene and Gabriel Oak, and the description of the English countryside. There also seems to be more energy than Return of the Native, if I remember that book correctly from 11th grade.
