Did the author change from the previous book to this one? The writing is mikes better than the last two. The story and chars tmw has more interesting. Gone is the laughingly clunky exposition. I see other reviewers marking thus down because. It’s not like the show and really only has Varnabas in it, but as a standalone book, this is quite a well done gothic mystery.
