"Okay, old man?" Jake asked as he handed over the big mug of coffee. "Fuck" was all Sean could manage. Dizziness assailed him and he blinked to clear the fuzziness in his head. He hadn't even registered at first that Jake had called him old man, a throwback to finding they had birthdays a week apart and were born in the same year with Sean being older by just seven days.

Sean hadn't been looking for a lover. Nor had he been able to allow himself to be attracted to someone. But walking into that conference room with Owen and a couple of other FBI representatives and meeting Jake and Manny could have been fate. Jake was the epitome of what Sean looked for in a man. He had quiet confidence, a command of the room but a relaxed approach to life about him that was extremely sexy.

Fucking Sean and his silver eyes that promised Jake could trust him. He'd seen Nik find Morgan, Manny meet and fall for Josh, Dale get his SEAL in Joseph. Hell, even his own brother had found someone who was the other half of him. It could be done and for a few shining weeks Jake had really thought he'd found someone he could spend good time with.
