I’m hate-reading this. I don’t like the guy. Everytime the woman asks a questions he says “did I say ____?” And he says “babe” too much.🙄🤢

I randomly checked this out because all my other books were still on hold - so far it’s wack. The dialogue feels v unnatural and the male character is this ex military turned sheriff “tell me the law and I’ll follow it with no questions” guy🙄 and the woman keeps whispering things, idk why.
