Theater of the absurd. Comedy of errors. Seems both absurd yet maybe plausible at the same time! It struck me in the beginning that he was acquiring traveling companions like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz! I’m listening to the audiobook on CD & the reader is truly excellent! Perhaps the reader is adding a lot to my enjoyment of it, because I’m surprised to see such negative reviews here.
