ALSO, what is with the creepy incestual “relationship”/thoughts between Bryce and Ruhn? I keep having to remind myself of their relation.

I don’t know how but it’s gotten worse. Now not only characters, but plot lines from previous books are being recycled. The dialogue is terrible, I feel like SJM just replaced fantasy with swearing and skin tight normal clothes. There is no finesse or charm, it’s literally “asshole” “f*ck” and really heavy handed sexual innuendo.

This is quickly headed to DNF for me.

I’m getting concerned. I love SJM’s other series and have read them multiple times. I don’t know if it’s because I’m not typically drawn to urban fantasy or the fact that I’m already picking up hints of “this is Rhys but a fae”, “this is Amren but a wraith” and all of the characters feeling overly familiar and I’m really hoping this starts to improve quickly.
