I have to say I'm surprised at how much I'm enjoying this book. I've never read a book written in the 1700s, and, to be honest, I expected it to be written in a fairly dry manner; but it certainly is not. It flows easily & is very enjoyable to read. The Vicar, himself, is telling the story, & it's quite amusing, in its way. He's proud of his family & their honor & longs to keep said honor. We'll see; time will tell.
