It is very unusual that I don't finish a novel, and I hate to concede, but, it's just so fucking terrible!
NOTHING HAPPENS!
I've read 300 pages and nothing has happened.
There is an event to celebrate Austria, and there was a trial for a killer. 300 pages these things are written about, but there has been no progress at all. It's not even a fucking story!

I'll spend the rest of the summer reading good books.

Tamara This book then, should be renamed "The Book Without Qualities" hahaha!

grantlovesbooks I think it might be the 'old' style, it was the same in Hungary. To seem very intellectual one should write with Very long sentences. Most of my business students complained about new graduates sending extraordinarily long emails and being told to stop it, write succinctly.
Nothing happens. I can return to this book in 4-5-9 years and continue reading knowing I haven't missed anything, because there's been nothing to miss.

Hope you are doing well Tammy. You look very happy with your family. Hope this world crises has not affected you to badly. For me, it's the greatest. I've written 2 screenplays, read many books, and even manage to exercise a little. Hopefully I can sell the scripts and live like this for the rest of my life.

Tamara Glad to hear you are well and are keeping busy. Happy belated birthday, hope it was a good one despite the quarantine limitations. At first, it was quite difficult for us, having returned from a March break vacation in mid-March as things unfolded; we had to isolate for 14 days,.which saw us barely leaving our own driveway or street. We had some major appliances break down and have groceries delivered, etc. We were fortunate to have been able to get this fixed right away. Then months of online teaching for myself and monitoring online schooling for my kids. Fortunately it is summer now and I have had a lovely time making more art and photography!
