I’m so sorry, Deb! But I’m glad it was caught early that makes so much of a difference. My mother has been cancer free for more than 10 years now and like you her’s was also caught early. I’ll keep you in my prayers and hope your treatment goes well.🙏🏼 Take care of you. Sending you lots of hugs. ❤️❤️

Thank you Karla my mum is now 90 and had breast cancer 30 years ago so my fingers are firmly crossed 🥰

Thank Lyn, I honestly thought it was a cyst. It’s 2.5cm. I read an article saying that cancer takes 2-5 years to form a lump you can feel. Apparently it can be 3-5 months. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Thanks Meredith Covid hasn’t helped. I need to isolate for 2 weeks before the op. My daughter lives at home and works in care. She’s tested weekly but isn’t going to be able to work and live here 🤷🏻‍♀️

I know and it’s putting her in a difficult position. I don’t like the idea that she has to move out for 2 weeks. You’re right 2020 is turning out to be a nightmare 🤷🏻‍♀️

I had no idea either! I'd always thought passing yearly mammograms (even tho' the USA guidelines have changed to being less often for 'lower risk' women) meant I was free-n-clear. It's a good message you're sending, H -- never assume and listen to your body.

I know you also thought like I did -- that a lump that's painful isn't anything to worry about. That it's a cyst only. I was told that by a nurse practitioner once! Nope, not true at all!!

Sooooo glad you went to get yourself checked out. I don't know what I'd do without you xoxoxoxo

I'm so glad you caught it early Deb. So often that in and of itself makes the biggest difference. And yeah, always listen to your body, it knows what's up. Wishing you a full and speedy recovery, just focus on taking care of yourself.
