Input needed! Just started the audio of this and it's... awful and so far icky about fandom. But I'm only just past his first POV chapter. Fandom folks/fic readers who have read this: yay or nay? Will it continue to be this terrible or do I need to give it another try?

In good news, I very much appreciated all the OTHER authors' thoughts! Everybody else was like, hello, yes, here's how being part of fandom taught me about craft. He was like "oh yeah, I did some research reading fanfiction, isn't it so great that young queer writers can imagine things and try out writing! Some of it is as good as real books!" So.
