I just read about an article Luther wrote late in life that was horrible, & it was disheartening. Over 110 volumes written that were wonderful, uplifting, life-changing; yet one tract almost undid all the good. Why did he write it many wondered. He was terribly sick & in agonizing pain for too long, & many wonder if this affected him & even made him vulnerable to the devil's wiles. Very sad.

I am reading this book very slowly. I only read it for a short while on Sunday mornings. I read other books, too, at the same time as I read this book. I paid full price for this book, which I never do these days. So, I didn't want to rush through it, but wanted to savor it. :)
It is an amazing book, & I have learned so much. I suggest it for anyone to read.

This is a fascinating book. I am enjoying Martin Luther's story so much, amazed at what I'm learning about his and the Reformation.
