I am starting out this book, so far, I wish the author had relied on actual historic and anthrolpological accounts as to was it was for “witches” back the. She tends to write about the women as if they are 21st century pagans, with books of shadows, etc. European folklore has it’s own magic, and it would have been inspiring if she had relied on that. Perhaps it picks up.
