Is it bad that I completely understand this character's morbid curiosity toward trying heroin? Also, I just realized the main character's name hasn't been mentioned once yet. I'm sure that's intentional. I'll likely finish this one today. I find myself being drawn toward more novella length stories than fell length novels.
