I regret to say this could have benefited from stringent pruning. Sometimes an author's greatest strength has potential to be their greatness weakness. JTH excels at creating a lush atmosphere & revealing the intricacies of her characters' thoughts & feelings. But if overindulged, the style results in a dense, impenetrable thicket of words. Action scenes slow to a crawl. And the reader risks getting... bored.

I didn't know you were still reading this, Teal. Come back to the Wode group if you want to talk about it, we have just about finished to discuss Wyldingwode, so you won't risk any spoilers. :)

I'm so sorry to read this update from you. I know you were excited about the conclusion of this 😢 As Ele said, come back if you feel like it.
I took a break for a few days, then picked it up again and finished the scene I'd been stuck in. Although actually, now that I think about it, I still haven't finished that scene! There's still more to go aaaaaaaaaagh. I was wondering if it was safe to drop back in on you guys, and if I can make any more progress, I will. :)
