This morning, I finished the Gospel of Luke, and my reading of it was so enhanced and made better by the commentaries included. Bishop Barron, as ever, shone a light on things that I'll be considering and reflecting on for a long while. I also appreciated the insets by saints and Christian notables⏤Irenaeus, Benedict XVI, Chesterton, Fulton Sheen, and many others.

Finished the Gospel of Mark. Short and sweet, and the supporting materials throughout -- essays by Bishop Barron, insights from saints and holy people, works of art -- continue to make this an experience unlike any other Bible reading I've done. It's all supported by the beautiful package the Bible itself is, with leather cover and heavy pages.
